Colorado Parks and Wildlife - Planning Manager

The Planning Manager at Colorado Parks and Wildlife provides critical planning knowledge, expertise and support to the agency, staff and the Commission, on statewide and property-level planning. The Planning Manager takes a lead or facilitative role with state park management plans and master planning. The position is responsible for leading development of the State Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). In addition, helps manage the daily operations of CPW's Strategic and Operational plans, including updating directives and policies. In coordination with other CPW staff, develops and employs effective public involvement strategies and advises on the integration of those outcomes into agency decision-making or planning efforts. The position tailors planning templates, best practices and principles to fit the specific circumstances of the statewide issue or property that are the focus of a planning effort. Performs a variety of research and analyses to help quantify and address important property-level and division planning needs.
